How to record an adoption fee or donation
Cash, check, waived, or a card - recording is always free.
- Open the payment screen for the adoption. From the adoption record.
- For cash, check or a terminal. Enter the amount and how it was taken. This is recorded immediately - no card processing is involved.
- To waive the fee. Mark it waived instead of entering an amount - it is recorded as a decision, not left blank.
- For a card payment. Only available once your organization has turned on card payments (see the next guide) - choose Checkout and hand the adopter the card reader or link.
