How to turn on card payments
Your own Stripe account, switched on once your shelter is verified.
- Open Settings → Payments. You will need your own Stripe account - Rescuely never holds the money itself.
- Enter your Stripe keys. The secret key and the webhook signing secret from your Stripe dashboard.
- Turn the switch on. It refuses to turn on without both keys saved, and it stays off until your organization is verified.
Worth knowing: Card processing costs 1.5% on top of whatever Stripe itself charges. Recording cash, check or a waived fee is free and always will be.
